ABOUT
hello
I'm agnes
I get a huge sense of relief and pleasure from doing something with my hands that doesn’t require me to think much about anything. It’s magnificent. I love pencil drawing, baking, gardening, and wood working. I use my hands as my “tools,” and massage therapy provides me with many opportunities to “create.”
“Massage is the journey of rediscovering the body’s harmony. With every stroke, we orchestrate the symphony of peace.”
I also believe that “massage is the art of healing guided by intuition.” Working intuitively enables the massage therapist to deliver a more tailored, responsive and appropriate treatment to the client because the therapist has been able to harvest more information from the environment by listening attentively. “Listening” is the act of paying close attention to all of the clues available to our senses, including touch.
Human Touch
Whether it’s from a warm embrace, a kiss, or simply a pat on the back — has extraordinary benefits to our overall well-being. Touch increases levels of serotonin and dopamine in the brain, which can help reduce anxieties, improve stress levels, enhance immune functions, soothe tension, and minimize the amount of cortisol released into the bloodstream. Consequently, this can lead to a better state of mind, deeper sleep, improved alertness, and even reduced body tension.
I graduated from the Galen institute in 2000. Since that time, massage therapy for me was about the ability to connect with people on many different levels. We can sense a client’s energy field through our hands and pick up on subtle changes in client’s body (tension, pain, emotions). It is a powerful way for the energy to be exchanged. A great massage can be achieved if our energies match. My goal is to take you on this journey. I hope that each and every time you come in, your session will be a very unique experience.
